ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jean A. Macomber

I work out of a small studio in my home in the Historic Capital Region  of New York State. During the year, I market my work at Art & Craft Faires throughout New York State and the New England area.

Over the years, I have mastered quilt making, creating hand-painted clocks, and historical folk art-theorem painting.  All my skills are self-taught.

The business name has a story behind it.  In 1982, I started a business creating traditional and custom hand-quilting. The business was named CALICO JAM, "CALICO" for the fabric often used in quilts and "JAM" for my initials. As the direction of the business changed nine years later, a new name was sought. But, customers indicated recognition of the name, so I decided not to change it!
